Primatte Keyer 5.1 - Free Update for More Platforms Posted over 5 years ago by Simon Day - Posted in General

Red Giant have released an update of their Keying tool, Primatte Keyer, to include full support for your favourite NLE software, including Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere Pro and Motion.

Primatte Keyer, a tool that is part of Red Giant's Keying Suite 11.1, was previously only available for After Effects. After listening to professionals, Red Giant have responded to the demand of editors requiring a more powerful keyer tool in their timeline editing software.

“Over the last year we’ve heard, non-stop, from editors that they need chroma keying technology in their NLEs. Many of them have expressed frustration, both with needing to leave their editor to do even basic compositing and with the loss of time that comes with it. We’re really excited to help editors solve these challenges.” - Aharon Rabinowitz, Red Giant’s head of marketing.

What Else is New?

- Accurate keys created in second with the Improved Auto Compute
- Refined forefround sampling thanks to new Smart Sample algorithm
- To assist in visualizing your composite as you construct it, two new View modes have been added.
- Cleaner matte edges acheiveable with the new Hybrid Matte function.
- New Adjust Light balances the background screen color for more accurate selection
