AV3's Guide to Adobe Creative Cloud 2014 Compatible Plugins Posted over 5 years ago by Simon Day - Posted in General

With the release of the new version of Creative Cloud, it's possible that a small number of plugins will not fully function within After Effects. In most cases you'll be fine, but we've put together a list that we'll keep updated to inform you of any issues.

Check out our post on what's new in CC 2014

In a recent blog post from Adobe, they state that if your plugins worked for CS 5 and above, it's likely that they will be fine for the latest version. If you aren't sure feel free to contact us or the respective manufacturer for any technical support.

We'll go through each major manufacturer and give you all the details you need to know.

Boomer Labs:

While it hasn't received an official update in light of the new Adobe release, Max2AE is working as normal.

Boris FX:

As one of the larger plugin manufacturers, Boris FX was quick to ensure the compatibility of their established tools with the new CC

Boris Continuum Complete 9 will work; though make sure to be running the latest version (v9.0.1)

Boris RED 5.5 has had a new updated installer released, current users that have yet to use this will need to uninstall their copy of RED and then download the new installer and run it. Get it here.

Currently, it has been confirmed that the Digieffects After Effects plugins Damage, Delirium and Phenomena are all working with CC 2014.

Digital Film Tools:

On the 19th of this month, they announced that all their products are compatible Adobe's new cloud.

Both Sapphire and Monsters are officially reported as working.

The manufacturer has stated that their plugins should all work with the latest After Effects, although they are telling customers that are running CC 2014 that they will need to reinstall the plugins.

Noise Industries / FxFactory:

The recent version of FxFactory (4.1.7) will provide full compatibility with their plugins and CC 2014.

Red Giant (Including Trapcode):

Red Giant have been speedy in getting their products up to date and fully working with the new Adobe Creative Cloud and proudly announced last week all their Adobe related plugins are ready to go.

All you need to do is download the latest updates from here and install them.

RE: Vision Effects:

Their entire line of products is working for both AE and Premiere Pro

The Foundry:

Unfortunately The Foundry's Camera Tracker is currently not compatible with Creative Cloud 2014, however they are working hard on rectifying this and state that it should be updated by the end of this month.

Don't miss our 48 hour flash sale on this awesome plugin, coming July 1st.

Updating to the new version will ensure full functionality with CC 2014.

Video Copilot:

All products are reported as working, although Element 3D is currently being tested by the team to ensure there are no issues.

All plugins by Zaxwerks are good to go with the new Adobe Creative Cloud.

That rounds up our list of what is and isn't compatibile at the moment. If you have issues with any other plugins not mentioned here do not hestitate to get in touch.
