Like this tutorial on low key lighting at Photo Tuts+. Josh Johnson does a good job of taking the beginner (like me) through how to "intensifies the contrast in an image through intensely reduced lighting."
I'm not sure if I could make me look 'cool and stylish' no matter how low key the lighting was :)

Just saw that Chris Meyer announced Creating Motion Graphics with After Effects, Fifth Edition for CS5.
As Rich Young at After Effects Portal News comments:
Trish and Chris Meyer are among the very earliest users and teachers of After Effects and have redesigned the book to reflect new features from both CS4 and CS5. This is the definitive book on After Effects and an essential reference for all but a few.
Well its going on the list for the office at the very least....

Enjoyed reading this tutorial on Millimeter (Digital Content Producer) by Jan Ozer- nothing stunningly eye-opening but a lot of common-sense straight forward advice on shooting with multi-cameras, and editing using FCP.
Given our new product 'get', I was also interested to read:
unless you're syncing your cameras via timecode, always capture audio with every camera, even if it's crappy audio. If you're syncing your clips manually, audio often provides the best clues for setting the necessary sync points.
The article recommends Singular Software's Pluraleyes for doing this synching and has a short tutorial and points to a review by Larry Jordan - worth a look!
