Multi-Camera Editing in FCP

Posted about 1 year ago by Paul Goodison - Posted in Tutorials

Enjoyed reading this tutorial on Millimeter (Digital Content Producer) by Jan Ozer- nothing stunningly eye-opening but a lot of common-sense straight forward advice on shooting with multi-cameras, and editing using FCP.

Given our new product 'get', I was also interested to read:

unless you're syncing your cameras via timecode, always capture audio with every camera, even if it's crappy audio. If you're syncing your clips manually, audio often provides the best clues for setting the necessary sync points.

The article recommends Singular Software's Pluraleyes for doing this synching and has a short tutorial and points to a review by Larry Jordan - worth a look!
