Hello!

The meteor strike was a little bit beyond me to be honest so I decided to have a go and try and do the classic Lightsaber effect. The location is the Gents toilet in our office building, and yes I did get some funny looks leaving the bathroom with a toy lightsaber and a video camera!

Thanks must go to Andrew Kramer from Video Copilot for the Light saber preset, an awesome tool. Download it from here. You simply move the start and end points of the blade in line with your video (I believe this is called rotoscoping?).

I used Red Giant Software's Trapcode Shine for the glowing eyes at the end, which I thought was a nice little touch.

I am trying to procure a better computer so I can try some more complex effects as my little laptop bless it struggles to do anything more than a 10 second clip in web resolution. So hopefully I can be a little more ambitious soon.
