GenArts and The Foundry announced today that we have entered into a strategic alliance. There are three components to the alliance:
What does this mean to you?
GenArts' acquisition of The Foundry's Tinder and Tinderbox business allows both companies to focus on delivering best of breed product portfolios to the industry. They hope this will be another significant step toward facilitating your ability to standardize on a more optimized portfolio of tools from GenArts.
The collaboration component of the alliance is designed to maximize the value of your entire compositing solution by more closely aligning the development of GenArts' plug-ins with the Nuke host platform. Customers will benefit from a more tightly integrated solution that effectively exploits the strengths of each component. This collaboration is a natural extension of the work the two companies have done together as founding members of the Open Effects Association and creators of the OFX programming interface.
